Dr. David Elks, Pastor
Dr. Elks was born in Franklin, VA. He holds a B. A. from Campbell University, M. Div. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY, and a D. Min. from Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, VA. He was ordained by Franklin Baptist Church, Franklin, VA.
He was Youth Minister of Salem Baptist Church, Brandenburg, KY-1998-1991, Minister of Education and Senior Adults at Vinton Baptist Church, Vinton, VA-1991-1996, and Senior Pastor of Elizabethtown Baptist Church, Elizabethtown, NC --1996 to 2008. He began his ministry as Pastor at First Baptist Church in July of 2008.
He is married to Sandra Williamson, who is also a graduate of Campbell University. They have two daughters, Kayla (age 16) and Megan (age 11).

Rev. Tim Little, Minister of Music & Worship/Senior Adults
Rev. Little grew up in Lenoir, NC where his father served as a Minister of Music and his mother, organist. Following high school, Tim attended the North Carolina School of the Arts graduating with a B. S. in French Horn Performance. While attending the School of the Arts, he felt called to the ministry and expanded his curriculum to include choral direction. Tim continued his education at New Orleans Baptsit Theological Seminary, graduating in 1988 with a Masters of Church Music.
After serving two churches in the New Orleans area, the Littles moved to Valdese, NC in 1993. Tim served a Minister of Music and Activities at First Baptist Church, Valdese until 2002 when he joined the staff of First Baptist Church, Lumberton.
Tim and his wife, Robin, have 2 children, Teague (age 18) and Cennovia (age 13).

Doug Reedy, Minister to Youth
Mr. Reedy is a native of Sanford, NC. He graduated from Campbell University Divinity School with a M. A. in Christian Education, concentration in Social Ministries shortly before he joined the staff at First Baptist Church, Lumberton. He also served as Program Assistant/Children and Youth at First Baptist Church, Sanford prior to joining our staff.
Doug and his wife Bonnie, have one child, Kaitlyn, who was born in December 2007.

Rev. Kim Heath, Minister to Children
Rev. Heath holds a B. A. in Religion/Philosophy from Shorter College, Rome, GA and a Master of Divinity from McAfee School of Theology, Atlanta, GA. She served First Baptist Church, Dalton, GA as Ministry Resident to Children and Families for 2 years. She has also served as a Children's Ministry Intern with Highland Hills Baptist Church in Macon, GA and has worked in daycare settings.
Rev. Heath is engaged to be married to Mr. Nathan Mason in October 2008.
