Senior Adults are on the Move!
Our Senior Adults have so many upcoming plans that it's hard to keep up! We are proud to say that Senior Adults at First Baptist are one of the most active groups. The group meets monthly for brunch and a special program, travels frequently, has a wonderful choir--the Joyful Notes, and has terrific fellowship together.
- Seniors meet the 1st Thursday of each month at 2:00 p.m. in the Activity Building to play bridge, canasta and other games as well as enjoy fellowship together.
- Joyful Notes Choir meets each Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. They recently traveled to Raleigh for a special concert. This group performs at our local nursing homes for residents, and once a quarter they participate in a covered dish luncheon/rehearsal. They have lots of fun under the direction of Rev. Tim Little, our Minister of Music/Senior Adults.
- On the last Thursday each month our Senior Adult Brunch is held. We enjoy a delicious brunch hand have a wide variety of entertainment and speakers. 10:00 a.m. in Cherry Fellowship Hall.
- Treat Bags for the Friends of Jesus Class (Adult Special Education) of First Baptist Church are completed each year at the October meeting of the monthly brunch. )
