Children & Youth Choirs & Bells

Our children and youth music program not only encourages singing and social interaction, but teaches some of the basics of music theory.
Our Music Munchkins meet each Wednesday night during prayer service.  This group is made up of 3-5 year olds.  Children enjoy the opportunity to learn songs about Jesus and present a mini-concert with the other graded choirs every Christmas and each year in the Spring.
Music Makers Choir is for children in grades 1-3.  In the Music Makers group, children are exposed to music theory for the first time.  The group presents music occasionally during the 11:00 a.m. worship service and participates in the Hanging of the Green each year.  They also present a portion of our Children's Christmas Concert and the Spring Program.
Young Musicians Choir is for children in grades 4-6.  This group continues the study of music theory.  The children in this group also participate in activities such as the Hanging of the Green, and the Christmas and Spring Concerts.  They also take an active role in leading Children's Day each year.
Children may also participate in Young Musicians Handbells.  This group occassionally presents sacred music during the 11:00 worship service and participates in the annual concerts described above.  Through participation in handbells a child must learn to read music.  The group practices each week on Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m.
Our Youth Handbells meet weekly at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoons.
The Youth Choir practices each Sunday at 5:00 p.m.
The Youth Ensemble rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m.
