Adult Choirs & Handbells |
We have a choir or ensemble group to fit almost any musical taste from contemporary to traditional.
Our Sanctuary Choir presents traditional sacred music in the 11:00 service each Sunday morning. The choir presents special music throughout the year, with musical programs every Christmas and Easter. The Sanctuary Choir rehearses each week on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. During preparations for Christmas, the choir participates in bonus rehearsals following the 11:00 a.m. worship once a month.
The Contemporary Ensemble provides upbeat selections for our 8:45 a.m. worship service. This ensemble practices at 7:30 p.m. on either Tuesdays or Thursdays.
Our Senior Adult Choir, the Joyful Notes, enjoys singing together each Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m. This group sings at nursing homes, presents a Christmas Musical each year and usually does some variety of Spring Program as well. They sing for Senior Adult Sunday every year in April.
Adult Handbells rehearse every Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. They occasionally present music during the 11:00 worship hour. |

Our children and youth music program not only encourages singing and social interaction, but teaches some of the basics of music theory.
Our Music Munchkins meet each Wednesday night during prayer service. This group is made up of 4 and 5 year olds. Children enjoy the opportunity to learn songs about Jesus and present a mini-concert with the other graded choirs every Christmas and each year in the Spring.
Music Makers Choir is for children in grades 1-3. In the Music Makers group, children are exposed to music theory for the first time. The group presents music occasionally during the 11:00 a.m. worship service and participates in the Hanging of the Green each year. They also present a portion of our Children's Christmas Concert and the Spring Program.
Young Musicians Choir is for children in grades 4-6. This group continues the study of music theory. The children in this group also participate in activities such as the Hanging of the Green, and the Christmas and Spring Concerts. They also take an active role in leading Children's Day each year.
Children may also participate in Young Musicians Handbells. This group occassionally presents sacred music during the 11:00 worship service and participates in the annual concerts described above. Through participation in handbells a child must learn to read music. The group practices each week on Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m.
Our Youth Handbells meet weekly at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoons.
The Youth Choir practices each Sunday at 5:00 p.m.
The Youth Ensemble rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m.
